so my project rifle finally followed me home today. I know it is not up to this sites standards but i hope it will be in the near future.

R700 Varmit .308

PLANS-- to start i will be getting a badger or /wyatt bottom metal for box mag conversion, then b&C medalist varmit/tac stock, load devlopment, MUCH better scope, 1 pc pic scope rail. hopefully all that stuff will be done in the next month or so. I plan to let it get me shooting the best i can then do complete build off of it.

Re: my project rifle

Looks like a good starting point. I'm looking to get an entry level center fire bolt gun myself. You gotta start somewhere and it will only get better from there. Keep us posted on the upgrades as they happen. I may have to steal some ideas if and when I get a center fire bolt. good luck!

Re: my project rifle

Any shooting is good shooting. It doesn't matter if you have a $400 or $4,000 rifle. Most rifles are more accurate than the shooter behind them. Trigger time and knowledge are your best friend, not a $4,000 GAP Rock in .338Edge with a S&B PMII Gen2
5-25x56, but it certainly adds the cool factor.
