MY REPR 18"

Re: Picture Test

It worked!

Ok, I'm so stoked right now, I can't even type! I just did the transfer for this beast about 45 minutes ago. I have been waiting for what seems like years for this. So far, it has exceeded my every expectation. Can't wait for Sunday morning to get her to the range and "print" her!
The trigger breaks pretty darn smooth, and she has the 18" barrel. The surefire break is on it's way, so that makes a total of 5 rifles that my can will fit on.

I need a moment to myself now!

Re: Picture Test

I should be seeing my 20" sniper version this coming Thursday. cant wait to get my hands on it and see what it will do. How do you like the side charging handle? seems like a knuckle buster when you put your optic on top.

Let me know how you like it. I hope I like mine as much. going to have to sacrifice a Surgeon rifle for it now....

Re: Picture Test

The left hand charging handle is awesome! No nuckle busting here. I have been prone, sitting, offhand, over cross sticks. ( on the carpet in the living room) Nuckles are all A-o.k. I have no clue why more AR manufactures don't do this. I first seen this done on High Power space guns. JPG

Re: Picture Test

The Tan SPR is a Billet POF Lower, Vltor one piece Upper, Lothar Walther barrel, "Wilde Chamber 18 inch" Chip McCormic trigger, just like the single stage, Arms 40L on the rear sight, and the Vltor gas block front sight, Arms throw lever rings, and the Leupold M1 3.5-10X. I have 2 Nightforces, but on these rifles don't see the point. Oh ya, that is my 7.62 Surefire Can. Works great on everything I attache it on. Enjoy, JPG

Re: Picture Test

Sweet collection SilverBullet. I have a 20" REPR sitting in the safe. I just purchased a S&B scope today. I can't wait to get it mounted and hit the range.

I'd like to hear a range report after this weekend.

Re: Picture Test

If I don't get called into work, (it is cold as hell over here) you got it. What ammo are you going to shoot in yours?
I plan on some 168GMM, and some 175BHM. When it thaws out, I will handload a few 170 Lapua's. I saw at Westcoast Armory some American Eagle M-1A ammo. Forget the bullet they load, but it has a crimped primer? What do you think? I had some GMM blow the primers out in my SR-25 one time. Might be something to look into? JPG

Re: Picture Test

Kyshooter,
I have the 5.5-22x56 on my SR-25, and when I had the URX forend put on, I had to switch to a QD mount. That 56MM bell is big!
Sounds like you have it all planned out, cool! This pic still has my 3.5-10X.

Re: Picture Test

I have some Federal Premium 175G Sierra Matchking that I plan on using. I just had to purchase a scope mount today, so I went with the LaRue 107. I know that LaRue is good, but damn they're expensive. I should have everything by next week sometime.

Re: Picture Test

SilverBullet, that looks like a Surefire muzzle break. How do you like it? I just bought one for one of my carbines and I haven't had a chance to mount it yet.

Re: Picture Test

High Side,

I roll the surefire breaks on all my AR's. I like to see my hits at the shorter ranges. I have only 1 7.62 surefire can, so it works out nice. At some point I will add a 5.56 surefire can, but gotta get through x-mas first. I asked Santa for one, but don't think that will happen, but you never know!
I read a lot of hating on surefire for their prices, but you can't make everybody happy. All my LE buddies want me to bring it to the range all the time. I say go for it!

Re: Picture Test

Ya Surefire is overpriced for what they really are BUT its a good product. I have actually seen one fail on full auto fire but on a bolt action they seem to last a while.

I have my 20" REPR. I will get pics up and put them up in the rifles section as well. It is surprisingly solid and very well machined piece of work. If it shoots as well as the 223 versions then this will be hard to beat in an AR10 platform.

Re: MY REPR 18"

Guys,

Got her dirty today, put 50 rounds through her, froze my ass off! I was cleaning after every shot for the first 10. Shot several sub 1" groups, then shot the rest, 3 shot groups. All hovered around 3/4. The best was 5/8 when I had shot 2 foulers before. I then ran out of ammo, as I was having too much fun. All shots were at 100 yards. If I has my 5.5-22X nightforce, could get it down to 1/2" or better, as I am blind as a bat!

Saweet...

Silverbullet, thanks for the range report. That's exactly want I wanted to hear. I just received my S&B scope yesterday. Now I'm just waiting for my LaRue mount and I will be headed to the range.

As a matter of fact, yes. I road race motorcycles and my number is 16. I've been racing in the AFM for just over 10 years. I also instruct road racing although I've been taking a little break lately.

How about you, do you ride?

Re: MY REPR 18"

Highside,
Why yes I do! I have been on the road for 6+ years, and doing track days for 3. I love it, and I keep dipping into my gun funds!

What tracks are you near? My brother and I would love to travel to Laguna for a track day.

Re: MY REPR 18"

Silverbullet,
Nice bike, I currently own a 750 with the same Ti exhaust system. The tracks I've raced are Infineon, Thunderhill and Buttonwillow. In addition, I've instructed and/or rode track days at Laguna, Willow Springs, Fernley, Fontana and Miller.

Laguna is a sweet track although unless you want to run stock exhaust and coast up the hill between turns 5-6, it's not worth the trip. They have sound restrictions that are unreasonable. I get black flagged everytime I ride there.

I'm a little challenged when it comes to posting pics, so here goes;

A couple of pics riding my 1000.

If you were curious as to why the above didn't work...you didn't close your image tag (missing a slash at the end).

I miss track days!!! The most fun I've ever had,until.....

I went over the handle bars with a weird brake lock up at 150 MPH on this GXR 1000 at firebird raceway and haven't been back since.I got old I guess.I had it professional rebuilt since then.

Re: MY REPR 18"

Those rifles are incredible! I have been drooling over them for a while now. That left side charge is PERFECT for mounting optics.

Thanks for the pics and range report!

Re: MY REPR 18"

Thanks guys, can't wait till I can post a second range report.
Highside, Your 05-06 GSXR-1000 is sweet, I just love that body style! Your never too old, I pitted next to a guy that was 62, retired, and was FAST! A real motivator for me and my bro!

How could I have missed a thread with bikes!!! LOL

Anyway, I have nothing to add besides a couple of pics of mine.

Re: MY REPR 18"

WTF is that? That has to be the sickest rocket I have ever seen.

I am so out of touch with the two wheeled world since my R1 went away. That is a stunning bike sir.

Re: MY REPR 18"

Thanks! Its a MV Agusa F4-1000, with some custom touches. Its Italian. And yes it does ride as good as it looks
