I returned my TRG-42 300WM to Beretta for inspection and repair. I guess I am one of the few with cracked butt stock, I only have about 175 round down the tube (sorry never got a picture of the crack) it was a hairline crack in the pistol grip area, from the top to the middle area. I called Beretta warrantee guys and they said to send the whole rifle back to them at their cost. I sent the rifle in on the 21st of Aug and it is on its way back to me with a new butt stock, at no cost to me. I am impress with the quick turn around and at cost to me, plus I am not the original owner of the gun.

Good to know Beretta USA is taking care of TRG owners. If only I could find spare parts in stock and at a reasonable price!

Do you know if this was an older rifle? It's hard digging up info on the first 22/42 series when they initially replaced the 21/41 but I thought I recalled that the early batches of fixed stocks were subject to this flaw. I'm curious if this was revised or they simply fix occasional problems as owners call in.

good to know as I just bought a 22 myself. To me customer service goes along way in making a purchase! glad they got it all hooked up for you

The rifle is only about a year old. I have been getting spare parts; I just picked up a used butt stock a few days ago. So far this is the only problem to date with all of my TRG’s.
