just wondering you guys that use it, what is your process to neck up?
do you have to trim, aneal, neck turning etc? or the dreaded donuts?

Im looking to go to to .284 but can i just neck up and go shoot and get decent results? It will be for a longer range hunting and steel rifle

Re: necking up to .284 lapua brass?

The "textbook" method:

Expand .264-->.284
Expand .284-->.308
Light neck turn (~75% cleanup) GETTING INTO THE SHOULDER ~.010"
Neck .308-->.284

This is all to avoid the donut. However, on a properly throated long action, you should be able to seat bullets above the NSJ, making donuts a non-issue if you get them...simplifying the process to a simple expand from .264-->.284

Good luck
