Need one holster for a S&W M&P 9mm 5" CORE AND 4.5" Standard M&P 9mm. Would like something like a Bladetech DOH or Safariland with the quick release stuff. I have looked at both sights extensively and am curious if anyone has been able to do this.

What are you planning on doing with it? Will it be for gun+light or gun only? If you are looking for a Safariland holster for the M&P CORE+WML you need to get the SLS only holster (6280, 6285, 6004, etc.) as the ALS system will interfere with the red dot sight. You will then need to modify the holster to accept the red dot. If you don't need a holster for gun+light I would look at: ALS P-2 Optic Sight Holster
I would call them and ask if the 5" barrel could be made to work with that holster.
