Rifle Scopes need a new scope

well im looking for a new scope my budget is about 450 i want target turrets mil dot reticule and a good amount of magnification im looking at the millett 6-25x56 or the falcon 4-18x56 but the falcon is out of stock right now any suggestions the scope will be going on a remington 700 sps tactical i will be shooting out to 800 yards with this rifle any suggestions

nevermind i have decided on the falcon 5.5-25x56 anyone have experience with this scope

The search button is your friend, amigo! There are a TON of topics on Falcons, Super Snipers, Leupold, USO, S&B, Zeiss, Hensoldt, Premier Heritage, Counter Snipers, etc. Spend some time reading up on those before asking questions, and you'll save yourself some harassment from other members.

It's a good habit to first hit the search and then pop a question on the Shout Box. I only wind up posting a thread for every fourth or fifth question that way. Lots of experience here ... but don't expect to get hand fed. Gotta dig a little.

Trijicon Accupoints - I have searched hundreds of pages of posts and done nothing but read for the last 2 1/2 days. I understand the elevation limitations of the 5.5-20 x 50, but for a .223 under 600 yds out of a 24" barrel should be a non-issue. I've looked through them and the glass looks great. Can any of you elaborate on why there is little favor for this scope series? I guess I'm not getting it.....

alright i did some searching it took a while and alot of digging through threads but i finally found what i was looking for but in my search i couldn't find an answer to which objective lens size is better the 50mm or the 56mm is the extra size of the 56mm worth the extra light gathering ability any help is appreciated im not new to shooting/hunting but i am new to the sport of long range shooting and i would like to get this rifle built and get a little scope time before i ship to basic it has been a lifelong dream of mine to become a scout sniper so i would like to get some practice so i can become further prepared

I personally prefer the scope mounted lower to the rifle. Pros and cons to both you just need to weigh them out and figure out which is more important.
