So yes another "help me" choose something but with a different twist.

I currently own a Razor GenII and a Nightforce BEAST.

The Razor have been my main match optic but recently I discovered it wasn't tracking properly past 8 mils..so it is currently on warranty repair but I've lost interest.

On the other hand I have a safe queen NF BEAST that I got brand new for a price you can't refuse but reticule is the MIL-R..

Last match I've tried the S&B 5-25 PMII that have a H59 réticule. Issue is now I really need one of those accuracy 1st reticule (Tremor3 ftw)

My big trouble now is what to do..:

1- first choice would be to send my BEAST to NF to have a Tremor3 reticle installed.
2- buying another scope or selling the beast to fund the purchase.

If I follow choice #2 I've narrowed to 3 choices:

- classy S&B 5-25 PMII with he's knowned tunneling with Tremor3 reticle
- S&B 3-20 Ultra short that look really interesting but I would loose 5x? I find the general features more interesting but no Tremor3. Only the version 2 or H59

- A bit of the chart , the Kahles K624i with the AMR. Read about some CA issue lately but still great feedback.

What you guys think about the ultra short for PRS? Most of the time we use 10-18 power but will I feel short?

What about the AMR vs H59/Tremor3?

The tunneling of the 5-25 doesn't bug me too much but still for the money...and the ultra short turrets look way better?

Thanks for the help , maybe Frank could chime in about the 3-20?

If tunneling doesn't bother you on the 5-25 then consider the 7-35 ATACR tremor 3. That's what I would do.
I have a 7-35 mil-r and love it.

On the flip side, the FOV at 3x on the 3-20us is really great. Nice and open and easy scope to get behind. Only you can decide if you'll miss the 25x top end. I don't think too much though since like you said most shots are taken from 10x-18x

I wouldn't really go for the khales with the amr. I would do the skmr3 instead.

Kahles k624i AMR ordered!

I've put my hand on a Kahles and a PM II 5-25 and the SB haven't impressed me.

Locking features suck, tunneling is quite bad and even if I won't use it under 10x fuck that for the price you pay. Illumination really look like it's been designed in the 80's and complicate ring selection.

Kahles left hand windage and general design suit me perfectly.

The beast is going on sale shortly.

You have some great thoughts to ponder. I have a number of scopes, incl. NF and S&B. I liked the NXS, and love the ATACR. I did not like the Beast, only because of the LARGE turret. If that does not bother you, then a T-3 install probably makes sense.

That said, my favourite scope is my S&B PM2 5-25 MTC. Lower locking turrets, and I have that in T-2 and could not be happier. I am a bit of a Horus whore. I had a USO in H59, and liked that alot as well. The 3-20 US is hard to beat, and is on my shopping list. I am not in a hurry, but a neat scope, and great design. There really is nothing short in US, but I guess it is not as long as my USO ER25. I have the Vortex Razor Gen2, Leupold, Steiner, blah, blah, blah. I have used a Kahles, and they are great. I would not spend more for a Kahles over S&B, and lately, the price has come down on S&B. Some of that is a slump in sales, and some is a slump in the Euro, but the Euro has been gaining, so I would not expect to find a T-3 for under $3,000.

Basically, I just repeated your conundrum. Good luck.
