Rifle Scopes Need help hunting a scope down

First off Im new here and wanted to say hi. Now for the question on finding the right scope. I am paralyzed from the waist down and weight always seems to be an issue for me. I have a McMillan MCRT in 280ai and its not by any means a lite rifle, but I dont need to go adding a bunch of weight to it with a scope. What would yall recommend for a nice all around scope, something I could use for hunting but still take to the rang and do some shooting with that would still be lite? Any help would be great.

Im thinking in the range of 750-1000

I've always like the Leupold VX-3 scopes for hunting in that price range.

I'd also seriously look into the Zeiss Conquest, they have very clear and bright glass and pretty light.
