Ok so I was working on my gun today took the trigger off to adjust it and clean. I got it back on real good wasn't paying attention and my barreled action fell off the table and broke the trigger clean off at the adjustment screw. First question is can I get just a new trigger not the whole assembly any where? And second thing I am worried about is that my scope was on the rail. Its a Nightforce NXS no dings or marks on it and it feels fine but I can't help worrying something might have damaged it.

Thanks Tim

Re: Need help with 700.

you will have to replace the whole unit, I have not seen anyone selling just X-Mark Pro parts. That said, if you ask around here, maybe someone has a takeoff you can get for cheap. It would be a great time to upgrade to Timney, Shilen, Rifle Basix also. You won't be able to tell if the scope is damaged until you shoot and test the tracking on it. It would be HIGHLY unlikely you damaged the NF without some type of evidence on the scope body.

Nightforce scopes can take a beating.
Wouldn't be remotely worried, my NSX from 5-6 years (WES @MSTN) ago is got to be one of the most robust mechanical/optic devices known.
Mine fell, objective first to the bare floor from a shelf constructed at the top of one of my closets, a good eight plus feet. Thanks to the bikini cover, not a scratch and it tracks perfectly, years an thousands of rounds later. This is the scope I usually use for accuracy testing.

Re: Need help with 700.

i wouldnt be worried about the scope. i would ask around here and try to find someone who is upgrading triggers and is willing to part with the old one cheaply. i do agree that you should look into upgrading triggers now. best of luck

I am currently upgrading triggers to a rifle basix and have a my old trigger. I dont know the rules about selling before 100 posts though.

Re: Need help with 700.

Do yourself a favor. Replace it with An old style Remington, Timney. Jewel etc. Almost anything but another X-Mark you will be glad you did.
