Need some help with my new rifle build. Thinking about getting the dpms .308 recon. Looking for other suggestions before I spend my money. Will take any suggestions on optics also. 33%tactical, 33%target practice, and 33% deer hunting. Really looking for a do it all type semi auto. Must have the following:
1.) love the tactical look, going to put on my grip pod that i love so much
2.) must be under 9lbs / light weight for dragging thru the woods deer hunting. I have a dpms lr308 with 24" bull and its wonderful for target pratice, but not so much for walking thru woods.
3.) will be shooting anywhere from 25yrds to 400yrds
4.) had an eotech on old rifle... was great, but could really only go max 100yards... i want target practice precision... like 1moa @ 100, so most likely going with a scope unless someone can give me options
5.) would like to spend no more than 2k without optics. Might consider more if someone can give me good reason.
