I am new here and looking for recommendations on what optic would best suite me as of right now my only scope is a Steiner P4xi and I would like another optic with higher magnification. My budget as stated in the title is $1500 or less new or used assuming the used price is commonly at or below my budget. This will see use on 5.56 and .308 semi-auto rifles and possibly a bolt action in the future so I would like it to be versatile .
My criteria are:
Reliability / Quality- would you consider it duty rated, this is a must!
Illuminated reticle is a must!
Magnification Range- I would prefer something with a low end of 3x or less with an upper range of 10x - 20x
Low light capability- should be very good.
Glass- should be the best for the price point
Customer service and warranty should it be needed should be decent especially for used optics.

Two scopes I have looked at are the USO B10 and the T5xi 3-15 thanks for any suggestions.

The only thing I will mention is that your price range will get you a very damn good scope, but not "top tier".
You need to nearly double the budget to get into that realm.
You didn't mention weight in your criteria. Is that a concern? Should be for a gas gun.
Do you want SFP or FFP? Mil or moa? Covered or exposed turrets? All valid questions to be asked. And more....

I made an edit to clarify my criteria for glass quality. Weight isn't a huge concern that's what slings are for.

I'll throw out a suggestion that will go against the grain as it a scope that doesn't check off some of the popular boxes like a skmr3 reticle or something like it.
Meopta Meostar r1 or r2. About the best glass in the price range (performs like glass costing $1k more) , tracks perfectly (from one example I have played with) relatively light. There are 3-12 and 2.5-15 versions.
Anyway, worth a look for the money. It's not many folks cup of tea.

I’d look to find a Bushnell LRHSi. GA Precision just did a clearance on them and I bet you can find them in the Hide exchange. They are 4.5-18x44, FFP, Illuminated. They are the same as the LRTSi but have a slightly different reticle and no throw lever. Buy the MK Machine throw lever and you are set. I have one and it’s on my 6.5CM AR.

Here's how my SPR adventure has gone over the past three years. These have all been on 16"-18" 5.56 AR's.

NXS 2.5-10x32-->Mk4 3.5-10x40-->NXS F1 3.5-15-->LRHSi 4.5-18x44

Best optic? The nightforce. As many here know I often regard this optic as potentially the best all around scope we've ever seen for the dollar.

Best value? The bushnell hand down. With the GAP deal this is half price of a used NXSF1. This optic has [arguably] better features and equal performance to the NF. Only real question mark is the long term durability.

Here's what I'd consider if I were you. I would buy used. These optics companies have great warranties nowadays:

1. NF NXS F1 3.5-15 USED
2. Bushy LRHSi 4.5-18x44 USEDorNEW
3. Bushy DMR2 3.5-21x50 USED
4. G2 Razor 3-18 USED
5. Burris XTR2 3-15 or 4-20 USED
6. NF SHVF1 4-14x50 USED
7. Leupold Mk5 3-18 USED
8. NXS 2.5-10x32 USED

The above are the only optics I'd consider to handle "duty" use.

I'm looking at the scopes you mentioned this time for a 16" ar 10 build.
