Gunsmithing need savage bolt head

Hey Folks,
Does anyone know where I can buy a 7.62x39 bolt head for a savage. I tried to call Savage and ask them if I could purchase one and they told me they wont sell it to me unless I was a gunsmith.
So does anyone know a gunsmith in the sacramento area that can get one for me or any gunsmith that can order one and I can purchase it from them? This has been a bag over the head punch in the face track down and I'm at the end of the line trying to get get one. any help would be appreciated.
The model Savage sells that is chambered in 7.62x39 is the Model: 11 FCNS and they also sell just the bolt head.

Does anyone at sharp shooter ever answer the phone I've tried for days, are they still in business?

You know, I really cringed when I wrote that. But, there aren't any other places that I know of that sell all of the factory Savage parts like the PPC bolt head,DBM frames and Hinged Floor plates.

Another thought is to have a .223 bolt head opened up.

The best way to get ahold of Jim is to call him. I've sent plenty of e-mail and PMs, but he never gets around to answering. I don't even know why he list them as contact info. I always call in the evening and Jim has always answered the phone.

Jim is good people, but I dont think technology is big on his list. Give him a call like stated above and he will take good care of you. db

Jim Is the Gentleman who gave me Scott Nulls number when I needed a bolthead.

Yessir, I know all about the "Savage Blacklist" Syndrome!! First parts I bought about three years ago from SSS were great, deal went fine. NEVER been able to get ahold of them since!! One "BUY" per customer I guess.

Call savage back, when they ask if you are a gunsmith say "yes". I'm not sure that they would have a way to determine if you are lying. What could it hurt?
