This is a first for me. Used rockset, but guess it needs more. Any ideas on how to get the brake out?

Rocksett has high heat tolerance but is actually not that strong. I have had it happen, I think we are big gorillas and put the cans on to tight. Taper fit is amazingly strong. Let me find a video for you.

Clean muzzle threads and internal brake threads. Apply red loctite, wait 24 hours, remove can with strap wrench. High temp red loctite is recommended.

My experience is that they only get stuck on when they're cranked down hot, then they "shrink wrap" themselves onto the mount when they cool.

Zak obviously is the authority, but I advocate red loctiting to your barrel, then hitting the base of the suppressor with a blowtorch to get it (reasonably) toasty before trying to screw off.

I just removed a 30 BA1 from the old style brake. Major pain. My gunsmith had a custom 5/8 24 bolt and lock nut made for this. We still had to heat up the suppressor a bit with a torch. Finally came off. I'm putting in a cb brake adaptor so if the adaptor sticks in there i don't care.

I had this happen once, I had to wrap an allen wrench with electrical tape, then placed the allen key in a vise and used the muzzle brake baffels to twist the break out.
