Ran across these guys at our last match and can’t seem to find much out there on them.

I’m only a hundred or so into them, So far they are absolutely hammering and really remind me of a Berger Hybrid. And best of all, they’re available.

Anyone else played with them?

The Berger 77 grain is an OTM with a tangent ogive it's not a hybrid. Can you confirm the stated BC of .475 of this bullet as the Berger is .374 which seems like one hell of a difference?

Not calling them liars, since there's no real industry standard for BC measurement. There's no way this bullet is beating the snot out of a .228 G7 77 RDF.

.243 G7 must be at Mach 3. Pictures of their loaded rounds show the bearing surface of these 77's stuffed all the way flush with the neck i.e. Ogive pushed way back like a 75 eldm. Bullets like that tend to shoot like shit in my AR's.

I'd like to here some range reports on these.

How fast are you pushing them? What gun set up? Easy to load for?

I ended up only running 2 hundred of these then picked up a bunch of their 85’s. Have some tests lodes up for the 223 ai and planning on trying them in my 8 twist a22 arc, hopefully they will stabilize

Shot the meads today, I could probably tune either one to work, but I’ve got better results with similarly priced or cheaper bullets so I’ll probably stick with them. Everything was shot with varget. I’ll keep them on the shelf for the next barrel.
Thanks for the update. I will hold off on those.

Anyone else have any more experience with these?
Do they load ok at AR mag length? Is their stated BC accurate?

Was that from an AR Or bolt gun?

American Reloading has Blems that may be these bullets. Only thing I'm going off of at the moment is the name in the description. No other manufacturer came up when I used the search term "Match Varmint BTHP"

Currently torn on whether to order some to try out. I have plenty of 75gr ELDM for the bolt gun and 69smk for the AR... but there always seems to be an itch to tinker.

I got some projectiles and the 140 projectiles. Weight was consistently 76.6-77.1gr across all 100 projectiles. The lengths varied widely across the 100 I have. I’m gonna load them up tomorrow or Thursday and hit the range on Friday with them in a 18 inch AR barrel. We shall see what happens. I’ll be running them out to 850 to see how the claimed BC lines up. I’m gonna use the Mead and Applied Ballistics one and see which one is actually closer.

Will report back

(UPDATE)

So the 140 gr 6.5 bullets I loaded shot great.

The 5.56 load was 24 gr of tac RUAG green fire primer loaded to 2.260. They would only hold like 4 moa seated short. Single feed 2.300 shot better, I think so much of the bearing surface is in the case they need to be right at the lands because of the profile to shoot good. However, the applied ballistics BC on them is accurate. I was hitting the 920 yard plate consistently with them and it had about 1.8 mil less drop than the sierras. 2800 fps out of a 18 inch barrel. Definitely worth looking into if you can load them longer than 2.260
