Ordered through Third Generation Shooting Supply on friday and recieved it today, wednesday. McMillian A5 in GAP camo fully adjustable with two flushcups. Now to get it bedding.

Thinking of sending it to G.A. Precision along with my barreled action. Figured with the new stock I would get a new barrel and have it tuned up. What the best way to ship it to them? How do you package a rifle for shipment or a barreled action? Bubble wrap, foam padding, in a cardboard box, or hardcase?

Re: New A5

Go to a box supply store and grab a bunch of bubble wrap and a box that fits.....tape, duct tape, tape again. Insure and then ship. Oh yah, and don't forget to make end caps out of foam wrap or something heavy duty cuz either end of the barrel/barreled action will end up smashed against the ends via the shipper.

Or wrap it up tight with end cap protection and place in a 'cheap' rifle case, then box it up.........depends on how much faith you have in the shipper.

Plenty of places to ship it too, and can't go wrong with GAP, Beanland, W. Roscoe, Mark Gordon - SAC, Spartan Rifles, APA etc....

Re: New A5

That looks great! I ordered on from Third Generation Tuesday and it will be here Friday. I almost went with the GAP camo but decided to with a tan, brown and black mix to match my new S&B scope. I couldn't believe they had them in stock. I thought I was going to have to wait 4 months. They were great and you can't beat the $7.95 shipping on all orders,

Re: New A5

Oh great, I have a desert gap A5 on order with mcmillan since the end of October. I been thinking about another one, but have refrained because of the wait. Now I don't have to. Thanks in advance for getting me in trouble with the wife.

3rd Generation is awesome, I've ordered a number of McM A5's and a couple of Krieger barrels along with a Surgeon WSM action.

And NICE stock!
