As you guys know these projects are never finished but here's what I got so far. Started life as a stock Rock River Predator Pursuit, 20" NM barrel. Fine rifle as is BUT you know. I added a 12.0" Daniel Defence Lite Rail w/ DD sling attachment, Vltor EMOD stock, the UBR was too heavy (trying to keep it light as possible). Ergo pistol Grip, Night Force 2.5-10X32, NP-R2, 1.375 Unimount. I am leaving it "all black" for now, we'll see what the future brings.I shot it yesterday testing some Swift Sirroco 75 gr and Barnes TSX 70 gr for deer and hogs. They gouped about an inch, Hopefully my 77gr SMK and 80SMK's will shrink the groups a bit. I'm still not used to the trigger, very good but I'm used to my 1.5# Rifle Basix in my 7WSM. What's next? Suggestions welcome!! Sorry for the amature photo's

Re: New AR SPR Before and after PIC'S UP

Looks great. I have one that is almost exactly the same. If you don't like the trigger, drop it like a bad habit. As I'm sure you are aware, there are many great AR triggers out there that can be set up like you 7WSM. Just drop them in. I like to keep mine all the same or close for consistency reasons.

Congrats man, keep up the good work.

Looks Great !!!

IMHO: Just a suggestion, but have you tried to mount the optic/mount further forward?

Reason I suggest is going from an A2 to EMOD I would think you may want your cheek placement closer to the charging handle. Unless, that LOP works for you & at that eye relief.

Re: New AR SPR Before and after PIC'S UP

Thanks for the kind words guys. Will a Giessle get to around 1.5-2.0#'s?

SPGDD, very observant of you. I am playing with your suggestion to see what is best, thanks.

Looks great!! Beautiful setup!

I would maybe add a Spikes Tungsten Buffer and the Ops Inc. Muzzle brake (or similar brake). Recoil will completely disappear (not as if it has much now).

With more practice the groups should start to shrink.

Good job!

How do you like the Nightforce uni-mount. I have a precision AR and glass but have not decided what I want to use to mount it with yet.

How is the height for your cheek weld? Can you put the scope far enough forward for proper eye relief in all positions?

Re: New AR SPR Before and after PIC'S UP

George Mac. I love it. It says DO NOT LAP. It all went together perfect. When i sighted it in at 50yds, it was 12" high and the windage was perfect. I bought the lower one first and it was too low for me so I returned it and got the taller 1.375 one Optics Planet was great to deal with on the mount. The cheek weld is perfect especially with the Vltor EMOD stock. I am experimenting with the eye relief. With the mount and the colapsable stock the eye relief is perfect. It's also very lightweight, something I was trying to accomplish with this project. I highly suggest the scope and mount. the only thing is without side para focus, anything close in 50yds in needs to be shot at lower magnification, which is really no problem.
