Well she arrived today and she's a thing of beauty. It will be a few days before I can put some lead down range but I'm happy just staring right now. It's a very sweet stick and I got freakin wood

Thanks. I wanted a Barrett since I 1st laid my hands on the original .50. Problem is that I like to shoot often and there is nowhere close enough that allows .50 cal. I run a business so my time is valuable and driving all over to find a range doesn't fit my schedule. I also don't have time for trial and error so wanted something turn-key. I originally looked at the 98B as a compromise but the more I read about it the more I felt it was a just a better fit.

I hear it makes an interesting sound when fired. Sounds like...

I always wanted a 50 cal Barret too. I thought it was a thing of beauty.. Like you, I don't have many places to shoot a .50 cal either. I'm just starting my journey into Long range shooting, so I won't be near a bigger caliber gun for some bit..

Can't wait to hear how it shoots, as wel as, how you shoot it.. lol

That's the new 30mm 20-MOA AADMount. It's built like a freakin' tank. I was using a Nightforce mount but it was flimsy. I'm fully confident that with this mount I could use my USO as a carry handle and not break zero.

I've been avoiding reloading like the black plague, mostly due to lack of free time. I recently dumped my old reloading supplies since I can swallow paying for .308 which is mostly what I shoot.

This stick has me rethinking that though and the only way to get armor piercing is to load your own. So I'll buy factory until I have a good supply of brass then I'll start brewing. If you're patient and hunt around you can sometimes get a good price on a case which drops the price to around $2.70 per round.
