On new lapua (or any brass) what is you process to fireform and sizing?

after one firing is it formed and i can just bump the shoulder back a bit for chambering and be done?

yes, if it goes back in the same bolt action rifle, i usually only neck size the shoot then full size etc, bumping the shoulder is mostly for semiauto.

I just recently prepped a few hundred once-fired .308 Lapua cases and after running about 40 of them through my (previously adjusted for 0.002 shoulder bump and mandrel removed) FL die, they all came out unchanged. I don't have any numbers on any of the new v. once-fired cases, but I imagine that they were less than 0.002 before firing and rebounded to less than 0.002 after firing. I'll see how they do after their second firing when I go to the range tomorrow.
