I pulled the trigger and bought all the parts for my build. See Below. XLR Chassis is a 5-7 week lead time. UGH. I know they are busy. I have everything except the Barrel, Muzzle Brake and Chassis. I just ordered on Friday. I know its not a custom receiver but the rifle will run $1400 basically the cost of a custom receiver. I have had great luck with Savages and I have owned a lot of them. I have never had an ejection issue. Knock on wood and the bolt lift does not bother me. I installed the bolt lift, smoothed out the ramp and installed the tactical bolt handle and that has helped a lot even if it just masked the heavy lift.

Savage Model 12 Receiver
Savage Tactical Bolt Handle
Bolt Lift Kit
Northand Shooter Supply Barrel Nut and Recoil Lug
Criterion 24" Light Varmint 1:8 twist muzzle threaded 5/8x24
APA Gen III Little Bastard 5/8x24
20 MOA base
Low rings
Vortex Viper PST Gen II 5-25x50 MOA Reticle Illuminated
Northland Savage Receiver Wrench
Northland Savage Barrel Nut Wrench
Foster Go/no-Go gauge

I will post up pictures in 5-7 weeks and targets.

Here is the picture of the barreled action. Still 3 to 5 weeks on the chassis.

Sounds like it will be a nice build. Doesn’t specify caliber though? 6.5 creed? Nothing worse then waiting on parts/build to come together!!

Im hoping 2 more weeks maybe 3 before mines complete and I’m going crazy waiting
