I quite like the idea of this and wondered if anyone has checked it out or would recommend a different high quality precision trainer ?

You can get a .17HMR barrel & magazine right from CZ USA. A friend purchased a CZ455PT in .22LR and then ordered the .17HMR straight contour varmint barrel which included one mag right from CZ-- he had it in his hands in less than a week for about $135 shipped.

Both the .22LR and .17HMR barrels are good shooters.
