I know this is a bashing rant, but I have an honest question. What do you shorten a barrel down with? I have ZERO gunsmithing experience, but as long as you crown the barrel right and finish the muzzle, does it make a difference?
I do think I've seen Larry Potterfield use a hacksaw to cut a barrel on one of his video's. Not saying he is a qualified gun smith, but he did the same thing. </div></div>
Watch this video, at 2:20 in there I cut the barrel back and then go to thread and crown.

A hacksaw is simply put, Hack !
And PS, I am not a machinist or Gunsmith just too this class, with no prior experience. They have a lathe in their "shop" you get tools to to squarely cut the barrel as shown. </div></div>
he should install a "bolts open cant shoot yet" alarm and how much takeup slack is there on that trigger? cool machining tho.
