I already have a suppressor and a Walther P22 and have no issue with it BUT am looking to get a bigger framed 22lr. I like the feel of a 1911 style pistol and am leaning toward making that my next purchase. Other than the Sig Mosquito, any other suggestions for a solid 22 to suppress?

1911 frame, Tactical Solutions threaded .22 conversion kit, and you've got the best of both worlds. That's my setup, with a little red dot sight on it. Kickass fun!

As luck would have it, I just happen to have a Colt 1911

As luck would have it, it's a Defender

Since the Defender frame won't work, it would be cheaper to buy a complete pistol.

Anybody have experience with the American Tactical Imports with the threaded barrel? I love the looks of it but don't have any experience with it. I could always do the Glock 22lr conversion but I deal with Glock enough at work.

I own a mosquito and AA conversion for my Glock 17, I just purchased the Sig 1911-22. Comes with the adapter, all controls work, fit and finish are good. Reasonable mine was $325 out the door. No issues other than the cost of the mags.

Bolt, had the 422 a long time ago. Great weapon, Sorry I let that one go.

Re: New gun for my suppressor

I have a Ruger MKII with Tacsol upper. It's pretty nice. I also once had a Marvel conversion for a 1911- problem is it ties up your frame while it's assembled.

S&W41's are pretty slick, and are probably more reliable, but they are spendy too.

I'd probably go with Ruger. Maybe pick up a factory threaded model?
