Hey all, I just joined the Hide, I've lurked around for a bit and decided I wanted the full participation. I'm active duty Navy, stationed in Virginia. Currently on deployment, floating around somewhere in the Mediterranean. I hope you folks won't mind me living vicariously through you for the next few months until I get back. I have a few months left in VA, then I'll be in Florida for a few months, then ultimately, I'll be in Houston, TX for the remainder of my current required time.
Currently in my safe I have a Bergara HMR B14 in 6.5 CM, before that I just had a dusty old Mosin, like I'm sure so many others do. I also have a Howa 1500 barreled action in .308 sitting in the safe waiting for a stock and glass. Shooting the Bergara certainly made me fall in love with the bolt action platform, before that, it was mostly gas guns, which will always have their place with me.
I hope (and I'm sure I will) I'll get some good information, and good ideas from this forum. Looking forward to what comes in the future.
