New Kestrel 5700 Ballistics in Action

[Frankly]

This newbie broke his rule about being the first to buy new tech products... and now have a 5700 Ballistics ordered straight from Kestrel delivered today, three week wait.

Came with Firmware 1.19 so it's downloading 1.20 currently. Otherwise first impressions are good but I'm a newb and haven't had other devices to compare. Feel free to add your comments especially if you also just got one.

I went to Kestrel's facility in PA a few months ago at their invitation and demo'ed the 5700 Elite w/ applied balistics. They walked me through the entire device, took feedback (I had never used a windmeter or ballistic program before) then gave me a tour of their manufacturing area.

The new model that replaces the Sportsman is called the 5700 Ballastics with LiNK bluetooth for $399, upgradable to the Elite for $300.

Cool, I got the Elite in December, I guess it was. Very impressed with it so far!
