Hey guys, first post.

28 year old .mil vet, 8 years, 1 combat deployment, now working in firearms.

I have done basic LR shooting in the past, and when I say basic, I mean ringing stationary steel out to a grand with a R700 5R milspec. Nothing fancy. Took a backseat for a while while I focused on carbines, but I’m looking to jump back in.

Plans are to build a custom 300WM and get back in the game, hone my skills and maybe jump into some PRS stuff or similar, so hoping to soak up some knowledge.

Welcome neighbor from upstate SC. Where in GA are you and where do you shoot?

Way down in south GA. Much closer to FL than to SC or TN. Rural area, so plenty of fields and property to shoot long range. The pasture directly behind my house has around 900ish.

I am green with envy. I drive an hour and a half to shoot to 400. I've learned a lot here. It's a good place for that.
