new mk 12 mod 1 finished up

Finished this one up yesterday. Range report will be forthcoming when it's not bitter cold out and 30 mph winds. I tried to remain as faithful to the mk12 mod 1 spec as possible while making a few changes for my personal preference.

SPECS:
MEGA ar-15 upper
CMMG forged lower
BCM stainless SPR barrel
a2 stock w/ flush cup and KNS stud, aluminum storage door
Daniel Defense LPK
Geissele SSA trigger
Magpul MIAD & trigger guard
KAC free float RAS
LaRue gas block
ops inc collar & brake
Young Mfg. chromed BCG
Vickers sling

YHM buis are going to be installed as soon as they come in. I'm not spending the insane price KAC wants just for irons, fawk that.

For right now it's wearing a PEPR and a falcon 1.5-5x30 scope. I really like this little thing so far, and i've had pretty good luck with falcons.

I will add a side-by-side pic with the mod 0 in it later, i've got it apart right now for a rebuild.

This will be my next project for my second 80% lower that I have, cant wait !! also let us know how it shoots

I don't have a can for it yet, but I would like to get an ops sometime this spring.

I'll post some targets when we get a break from this weather. I expect it to do very well- the components are all top notch and i'm a decent gas gun driver most of the time, lol.

Sexy dude, we'll have to take out toys and play again. I just hit my 6.8 with some Duracoat. If you want to paint either of the MK12s bring them over and we'll get it painted.

Very nice setup. If you haven't shot with one of those triggers before, you're going to love it.

I still haven't installed irons on my Mk12. I think it would be nice to stick to KAC, but I'm like you with the prices that they want.

I had that trigger in my other mk12 for a while, I really like the Geissele SSA. I will never go back to a single stage in a gun like this. It's OK for my carbine, but the precision aspect just isn't there. I'm going to put a CMMG 2 stage in the other one, i've shot one and like it as well. Only reason for chosing that is it can be bundled with an LPK for an extra $20, so it's smart money since I need one anyway.

Josh, do you have any black duracoat on hand? I'd like to hit the stock with something a bit more durable than this paint.

Nice looking rifle. I agree on the BUIS. I found a rear 2-600 for about $92 on ebay, but finding a front KAC BUIS on the cheap is impossible.
