Rifle Scopes New rifle new optic......?

So I want to spend less than 1700/2000 on a scope new or slightly preowned. I have a decent optic that will get my by but I want a new one before feb 2013 for a trip to Cali to gig hunt. It will go on a 300wm AICS. I am considering vortex, bushnell hdmr lrs (out soon), or a night force. I want a large variable power bt 3-17/25 x 50-56mm.

That new 2013 HDMR LRS is going to be "REALLY" hard to beat if Bushnell has not made compromises to glass or quality.
