I bought a new 700 sps with a hogue over mold stock. The first day I got to the range it was early in the am and kind of cool and I was able to get under an inch group at 100. I took it out yesterday in the afternoon (alot hotter, about 100degrees) and the groups opened up to almost 2". I notice that the barrel is floated almost all the way, but the rubber coating on the stock rolls over the fore end and is packed around the barrel chanell quite tightly. Is the a possible reason for this problem, and what is the best solution, hog out the offending material? Or is a new stock in this rifles future, I have never used a hogue overmold (thought it was going to be good) but now am starting to question my choice. Thank you in advance for the knowlege to be gained Jeff...........
