New stock for a 40XC

I will hopefully be going to a Riflesonly course in teh next couple of months, and I'll be bringing my Remington 40XC. It currently has the older walnut international stock-- kinda clunky to be hauling around the field.

Any suggestions on a replacement?

The 40x has a long barrel, it will be hard to lug that rifle around at a class.. pick up a used 5r stock or pss stock..

The 40XC's Bbl is 24" in length.

Drop the Bbl'd action into a 40XB stock.

I would love to find a synthetic-- it would somewhat update an older rifle.

The XB stocks (BDL configuration) are not as deep as the drop bellied XC stock(ADL configuration),so strippering 5 rounds is tight to say the least.

Would a McM 40XB KS(black)palm swell stock interest you??

Sorry for the delay in responding, Dan-- I didn't see the question in your message at first.

I would need to see a picture of the stock to make that determination. Is one available?
