So folks my long awaited TacOps Lima51 arrived Thursday June 2nd 2011. WOW is all I can say. The gun was a 1st class piece work from top to bottom. See picture below. I tired to take a shot of the bottom metal but the picture did not turn out all that great. I will try to get another shot and post if anyone is interested. My gun took just a fuzz over a year (fourteen months) to get here but was well worth the wait! Mike R from TacOps had commented that I should have had my gun sooner but there was some problems with a supplier and getting bottom metal thus he was forced to start making it own. I also had purchased the attached TacOps suppressor thankfully Indiana is a suppressor friendly state. I can't say enough good things about the Lima51 or the suppressor. The pictures do not come anywhere near showing the workmanship of this rifle.

This was the 2nd group that I shot with it. This was five shots at 200yrds. For reference the white square is a one inch square. Nice four shot group with one out in the boonies that was shooter error.

Argh! Seeing those suppressors being used really burns! I've shot a suppressed Tango and have seen others that Mike's built ready to be shipped.... friggin' CA laws...!!! (calling Mr. Beck, please report to the knife-twisting desk...).

Congrats on the rifle, and the great group. As you shoot the rifle more you'll notice just how amazing that suppressor is given that it doesn't take anything away from the accuracy of the rifle.

Yes My rifle has Mikes bottom metal.

I also did some chronograph work on with the fed 168 GMM and my rifle was throwing out the 168's at 2693.2FPS!! Way cool shorter barrel and still getting more than stated federal advertised 2650.

Not sure if you cannot tell from the pic or not but the can times to the bolt handle. IE the SN and the rest of the writing on the suppressor lines up perfectly to the bolt handle. That is crazy attention to detail.

Great looking rifle. Is the suppressor titanium? I have never got the chance to see one of his suppressors in person. I bet it felt like christmas morning when that showed up.

Nice shooting and congratulations on becoming a Tac Ops owner as well as being able to own suppressors (you lucky dog)! I see Tac Ops rifles and suppressors on a regular basis and get to shoot them, but I cannot own my own suppressor. I actually saw your particular rifle at Mike's office. IIRC the reticle is P4F, right?

If I could own a suppressor my X-Ray 51 would be wearing a Tac Ops TAC .30 Titanium. Unfortunately, I don't see that in California in my lifetime. Again, congratulations on your Lima 51 and TAC .30 suppressor.

Yep S&B 5.5X25X56 with P4F reticule.

What I was doing when I put that one way down in the boonies was crapping my pants cause my heart was POUNDING cause I had put three through the same basic hole. :)

Yes titanium can.

If you don't mind answering this one.....

When you ordered your rifle did you get the rifle and suppressor (to your SOT) at the same time? Or did Mike send the can ahead of time so you could get your paperwork out of the way for the rifles arrival?

Im considering ordering a Lima and would like to get the suppressor to match it. Just curious as to how his process works.

I ordered my rifle and suppressor at the same time. The suppressor came in well before time, so I was able to complete the transfer ahead of time.

Thats how I did mine as well. Only missing one piece of the pie. The Rifle! Patience so they say...

Congrats on the new platform Mike, great shooting too. I've recently got my Kilo 51 and it has been everything it's supposed to be and then some. The can sounds fantastic too! A good friend of mine has a Lima 51 done just like yours, same contoured 21 3/4 tube etc en route and I can't wait to handle it. I may have to add another one to the stable....

Congratulations on the new rifle. That's a hell of a group for 200 yards. Having never shot one, how do they handle the other factory loads? I realize they were chambered specifically for FGMM 168's but I'm just asking out of curiosity.

Mike does like to talk. However, he knows what he is talking about. You can feel the passion coming through the cellphone. You know when someone is that passionate about something you will get the absolute best from them and Mike's rifles speak for themselves.

I did have some HSM 168gr and some black hills gold 168gr amax's it shot both of those pretty well. Given current ammo prices I will still with the Fed GMM stuff. Both HSM and Black Hills are more expensive based on some recent price checking I did. GMM is tough to beat in 308 for factory ammo.

I've never talked to Mike for longer than 3 hours at a time... well, there was that once...

He is a good guy and builds an outstanding rifle. With a DBM and camo colors from Birdsong, I might be ready to step up to the plate for #2.

And to the OP... nice looking gun and nice group. I shot a group eerily similar to that at 300 yards. It measured less than an inch at 300 yards (5 shots, of course). I haven't shot that well at 300 since, but the gun is certainly capable of it.
