Due to the super high demands on every powder that I would even think about using. I'm currently forced to use some old IMR 4893 I've had for some time. It's producing some decent groups but I'm sure with other powders I'll get a bit better results. Or more temp stable results

Rifle. Badger Ordanance M2008 in an aics folder, 27 inch classic barrel works barrel with fat bastard break.

Load. 78 grains (suggested max limit for this powder is 76 grains for everyones safety) of IMR 4893 under a 300 grain berger in lapua brass with Fed. 215 mag primers. Load was seated to just under mag length. I'm using a aics CIP mag.

Results are .400-.500 groups @ 100 yrds. Velocity is unk at this time. I'm assuming around 2550-2600 fps. shot this load to 1100 yrds and based on dialed dope of 10.6 to 11 mils.
I was easily under moa at this distance and could pretty much pick any rock I wanted to smack and turn it to dust. Had limited ammo so no groups were shot. Just basing it all on point of impact and results of the nice plum of rock dust that would appear after I squeezed the trigger. Not every shot was a first time hit. I'm not there yet. But I'd be within 10 inches or less.

I've noticed I'm getting a wide velocity spread with temp change though. Or I noticed as the ammo warmed up, or if I left a round chamered longer than normal I'd see about a .5 mil rise in point of impact. Loaded about 15 rounds a bit hot with 80 grains of IMR 4893 and had some sticky bolt lift after the outside air temp got above 60. I left the ammo sitting in the sun for about an hour and it changed more than I thought. I've never had a powder this temp sensetive. I know this is way over the suggested limit but I had so much room left in the case I thought it may work. It didn't.

Looking to try othe powders and any advice or load data that more experienced shooters would like to share please let me know

Another vote here for H1000. I've used FED 215M primers and the cups seemed soft so I switched to CCI250's and i'm not going back. Using a .010" jump for bullet seating, I've pressure tested with the forementioned components and am up to 92 grains of H1000 with Berger 300gr. hybrids, seeing micro craters @ 92grains. I'm also seeing 1/2 moa 3 shot groups @ 100 yards. Very accurate out to 1200 and am still practicing 1500-1600 yards.

My favorite bullet so far with my 338lm is the hornady 285 BTHP. Very easy to load for. My rifle has a 1:9 twist. I've used 250SMK, 300SMK, 286HORN Bthp, Berger 250's and Berger 300's.
