Spoke with Paige and she said yes, new AR mount, anyone using it, any pics? Before I buy one, really would like the Hides opinion. They are not cheap.
Jeff was stacked up today, was out last week. Take a week off, you're two weeks behind. I tried the Posi-Lock, didn't like the way the ring halves connected.
I saw a pic I believe on a new LMT(?), can't find it. If it's thumbs up, I'll make the call Mon. morning.
Thanks.

Re: New USO QD AR Mount Info

$370.00, really like the new USO ring, looking for a mount to replace a Larue on a JP -15. The Larue is a little too tall, it's for an SN-4. The JP has a SOPMOD stock.
I've looked at the NF, don't need 20MOA. I try to buy USO if/when I can.

Re: New USO QD AR Mount Info

I saw it last week, been looking , can't find it. "Wow" is right. I'm not using BUIS on the JP, don't need/want the Larue height, nothing going underneath it.

Maybe get Jeff to send a pic Monday. He's got a lot going on, left mess., he'll call when he can.

Here is a picture of it. Let me know if you have any questions.

Im going to go out on a limb here and take a guess that the guys at USO thought about this before building such a mount. My 1.8-10 SN3 fits in a larue obr mount with about an inch to spare and this one looks a whole hell of alot bigger than the larue. Its just a guess though. YMMV Also the picture posted above should give you an pretty good idea since it appears to be the scope you are referencing mounted in the mount in question.

Re: New USO QD AR Mount Info

You can see how tight it is in the ADM mount, so I believe the question for a definitive answer is not inappropriate. It looks like the TPAL will fit, but I would like to know for certain.

The scope in the USO mount is not a TPAL. The erector housing on a TPAL is quite a bit longer than on your scope.

Re: New USO QD AR Mount Info

It weighs 11oz.s the height from the rail to the center is 1.4" the overall height is 2.4". Yes it will fit the 1.8-10x T-Pal. The distance between the rings is 3.25". Let me know if you have any other questions.

Thanks Jason. 3.25" is the same as the ADM mount I currently am using.

Re: New USO QD AR Mount Info

Do you have any pictures of the bottom/ rail interface. I would really like to see the the recoil lugs on the bottom and more pics of this in general. I am currently looking for a mount for my 3.2-17 and this has suddenly become a contender.

Re: New USO QD AR Mount Info

I"ll have pics up in a little while of it with a 3.2 - 17X in it on top of an M-4. Unfortunately I live in a house with 2 teen age boys ans AA batteries are at a premium around here. Waiting for "mine" to recharge after rescuing them from various game systems.

Cheers,

Doc

Re: New USO QD AR Mount Info

Looks great, I see a lot of machining fits and safety levers/buttons....do I see a windage adjustment or is that the way the rings are dovetailed into the base...please no windage adjustment...

More info on the attaching mechanism to the 1913 rail would really be good....maybe a bottom photo

This mount WILL NOT fit in Weaver slots, checked it against a Ken Ferral Mount and no go. It DOES fit in a standard Picatinny rail, checked on the M-4 as above and on a Pic rail blank that I have for testing scopes. I was very suprised that the height did not give me issues as I normally ride very low on thew gun with optics and this came right into the sight plane with no issues.

Hope this helps. If anyone needs one feel free to give me a shout.

Cheers,

Doc

Edit to Add: This cope is NOT fully mounted I just screwed the caps on enough to hold it still for pics and it was nice and "snug".

Re: New USO QD AR Mount Info

Also wanted to add, this mount will not work with the SN-4. I tried it and it is very close but no cigar. The distance between the front objective tube and the turrets has about 1/16" too little clearance.
