Really liking the EBR-2C.

New low profile knobs look good.

If the glass is at least as good as the current Razor HD and they're as reliable as the current Razor HD Vortex should sell a pile of these things.

One thing that stands out... if the specs above are correct the 3-18 x 50 is 8 ounces heavier and the 4.5-27 is 10 ounces heavier than an S&B 5-25 x 56! I never thought I'd be able to say "I'm going to switch to an S&B 5-25 to save some weight." :D

Thanks SWFA, good to see! That EBR2C looks good, just what I would want.

Razor's are heavy pigs, but they are awesome values. Great glass, warranty and features. Again, Nightforce killers here. Wake up NF, we need a FFP NXS! Vortex has listened to us again, that 4.5-27 will be perfect for our 338 ELR rigs.

That 3-18 is everything I was hoping the Bushy ERS would be. Very exciting.

Any info on the 'L-Tec' turrets? Do they lock?

Looks like the illumination is concentric with the parallax knob now, but I cant see the controls. Is it digital?

These look very promising.

Would definitely want a QD mount with these so in the even of being out of ammo.... you'll be able to quickly wield the Battle-Club.

Are these weights correct? And I thought the 5-20 was big.

Even so, it is still shorter than any nightforce, including the beast, and S&B. I really like this design. Hopefully they will be available before Q4 of next year

Yet another person questioning the weight. If the weights are correct, are these made of depleted uranium, or just an extra helping of lead?

The 1-6x is heavy so it makes sense that theses are too... who cares. They look good and if the 1-6x Razor is any indication, I expect really great things from these 2 new scopes.

It's all relative,

agreed, just took me off guard. I'm really liking the 3-18.

Well I guess my Gen 1 is going on my AR now. Fuck man... I just bought a set of Shrockworks rock sliders and Front bumper and now these damn things are coming out. Vortex is just crushing the competition and good for them. Any idea if the marks on the reticle tree will be a little more noticeable with this new model?

These

KAI-5603 Kaibab HD 20x56 Binocular $1,399.99
KAI-5602 Kaibab HD 15x56 Binocular $1,299.99
VPR-5012-HD Viper HD 12x50 Binocular $659.99
V105RT-HD Viper HD 10x50 Tactical Binocular with R/T Ranging Reticle (MRAD) $699.99
VR-1556 Vulture HD 15x56 Binocular $499.99

Wow, gonna have to start saving my pennies now. That 3-18 looks amazing.

Any idea what these scopes are going to sell for retail?

MSRP on the 3-18 is $2199 and $2499 on the 4.5-27.

MSRP on the current 5-20 HD is also $2499 and you can snag them for about $1750 new if you shop around... if we're really lucky we might see similar street pricing for the new 4.5-27 and less for the 3-18. Until they actually hit the market that's all speculation.

Looking forward to trying them...

Is it me or am I wrong but it appears the 2c reticle in MOA is different for the 3-18 from the 4.5-27? Or is it a mistake? Can't see why they would label two different reticles the same....

1C and 3C appear to have an open center reticle, I like that, I want one of these 4.5-27s for my 338LM

Love my Razor HD 5-20, but may just have to swap it out for the 4-27 with the EBR-2C reticle. Not concerned about the weight, if the quality is as good as the present razor. Great news Vortex. Still waiting for the BEAST, but who knows when that will happen!

Hoping I can compare glass quality with some other heavy hitters at the end of next year! I would hope/assume that is a reasonable timeframe...

3lbs worth of scope will be nice when shooting my hot loads out of the 300WM. There are plenty of lightweight options out there now especially with the new nightforce compacts. These are obviously about features and quality. If its too heavy get an ebersolstock pack and get lazy ass off the couch and exercise.

You're not the only one that noticed. It is indeed odd that the 3-18x reticule has elevation ticks every 2MO and windage dots every 4MOA. It is essentially a duplicate of the current XLR reticule, which I was expecting the EBR-2C to be. While the 4.5-27x has 1 MOA elevation ticks and windage dots every 5MOA, which essentially mimics the current EBR-2B MOA reticule. I'm sure Vortex had their reasons, it's just not self evident to me what they are.

Promising feature set so far: interested to see what the L-tec turrets are about and how the zero stops are set once more details are released...

Can't wait to check these out at SHOT. Being the "scope whore" of our Team I love looking at new scopes and Vortex has been stepping up and putting out great products.

I like the new knob design and the overall reticle layout. I'd put the elevation numbers at the end of the brackets though instead of beside the hash marks. That's going to obscure targets on left wind holds if you're using the reticle for hold overs and it takes away a wind dot at each mil.
