I may be off on this, but doesn't Hogan actually own the rights to the designs of POF? I believe that they were the machine shop that was manufacturing everything for POF. I'm not saying it's right, but I think that's the story.</div></div>
Actually, that is disputed and will be up to the courts to decide. I find it rather odd, however, that up until this year Hogan...
<div class="ubbcode-block"><div class="ubbcode-header">Quote:</div><div class="ubbcode-body">...has been contracted to manufacture, and in some cases design, products for the aerospace, medical, semi-conductor, construction and remodeling industries. We have also provided machining services for the movie industry, firearms manufacturers, toy makers, auto/motorcycle industries and the development of ground breaking technology. We have specialized in product design, prototype tooling and fixtures with an ability to produce both low and high volume orders.</div></div>
Now, we come to 2011 and suddenly, Hogan starts selling firearms that POF*USA has been marketing since 2006 and the Hogan design is POF right down to the letter.
Typically, when someone consults with a company to come up with a design for manufacturing, the designing/manufacturing company has no rights to the designs for which they have been paid to create, as the customer has paid to have the product manufactured/designed.
What Hogan is doing would fall under copyright and patent infringement...UNLESS...Frank of POF*USA made a deal and the deal went sour.
