Newb question

Re: Newb question

Yes, any good brake I have ever shot with makes the rifle quite a bit louder to the shooter and generally abusively loud to anyone standing beside it. However, unless you like to shoot without hearing protection the reduced muzzle rise and fast target acquesition outway the noise, for me at least.

Typically yes. Mines vents at 3 and 9 o'clock and with it being a 20" I can't really tell much of difference(always have hearing protection), shorter barrels are supposed to be louder. Someone can correct on me on that. My 16's use standard flash suppressors (A2)so I can't say from personal experience.

Re: Newb question

A muzzle break wot actually make the shot any louder but as it directs the sound bak along with the venting gases rather then all goon down range you will feel like its louder people on either side of you will likely notice it even more. So it's not actually making the gun louder but it is directing more of the sound back towards you.
