newbie barrel question

Am I correct that a free float barrel and a free float hanguard does not mean the same thing ???

Installing a free float handguard will result in a free floated barrel.

A free floated barrel is one that is not touched by the stock of the gun. This allows it to remain unaffected by variances in pressure applied by slings, bipods and other forms of support.
