Recently rung some steel at 1000 with a .338 and some new friends. Now I'm hooked!

Grew up competing NRA smallbore and eventually became a summer camp instructor, but never shot past 100 yds. This is catching on and there are some 1000+ ranges around southern WI (so I hear).

I need a starter kit:
Glass will be Vortex cuz I live nearby and they are good people who give a rip.
I'd like to convert my trusty old Vanguard 7mm Rem Mag to a decent grouper at LR. Maybe a chassis will fit?

Thanks for the welcome! Loving this site - seems like a lot of good folks here. My first build is coming together:

• Optic: Vortex Strike Eagle 4-24x50 from Europtics. Sounds like discontinued model 40% discount so great for starter glass.
• Chassis: Brownells Howa 1500 / Weatherby Vanguard LA precision chassis. Bought used from a Snipers Hide brother!
• Accessories: Magpul bipod; ergo grip; m-lok fore end hood. From Snipers Hide brothers!
• Frank Galli book is ordered.

Still needing: AR Stock & tube; rear monopod or bag; muzzle brake, bench vise, ....

Are there other things you guys suggest for a starter kit?
