Rifle Scopes NF 2.5-10X32?

Re: NF 2.5-10X32?

it's great. I just shot to 400 today doing load test with my 7-08.

I thought the glass on it was better than the glass on my 3-15x50NF and it is good in low light.

Also the 2.5-10 has an adjustable rheostat so you can dial down the brightness of the illuminated reticle.

Re: NF 2.5-10X32?

I have one on my ar10 as well. I have the low velocity reticle and it is dead accurate out to 600yds with my 20" barrel. With my 16" ar10 I have to add some elevation to adjust for the slower velocity but it is still close enough to kill whitetails to 300yds

Re: NF 2.5-10X32?

The 2.5-10x32 is a great little scope. It performs very well for me on my mountain rifle. The low light performance is limited by the objective diameter for the most part. In order for the exit pupil to be large enough to provide enough light to your eye, it will need to be turned down to about 5-6x for optimal diminishing light performance.

with that said, the performance is still very acceptable, just not quite what it could be with a 42mm objective.

Re: NF 2.5-10X32?

Got one on my GAP non typical 7-08 and love it. Had the NP-R2 reticle but changed to the mil dot, it seemed the NP-R2 was a little to thin for me for hunting situations. I have had no issues at all in lowlight conditions, even when out hogging at night with a red light.

Re: NF 2.5-10X32?

I agree the NP-R1 is too thin. I had an NXS 2.5x10-24 and got rid of it because the thin reticle. Great scope, will probably get another some day with a thicker reticle.

Re: NF 2.5-10X32?

Wonderful scope, have one with the HV reticle on my 300 winnie R1, BUT it is a SFP scope and ranging is set up for 10X. The illumination is excellent and it mounts nice and low.

There was no sun on the mountain behind me when this 4X4 at 275 met his demise @10X.

pics of that rig JCH ?

I run one on my 6x47 Lapua. Really am pleased ! it has the HV reticle in it. great glass and keeps it light weight and easy to carry.

What reticle?, I was thinking NP-R2 but now am not sure. Guess I hadn't really thought about it being too thin. I have the NP-R1 in my three others.
