I posted in the bolt action section about my recent build, and got a couple of comments on my choice of reticle. I chose this do to the fact that I am wanting to shoot Groundhog/Varmint matches, 600, hunting, and possibly try F-Class. For the most part, I use a laser range finder, and Iballistics. I didn't want a reticle thats too busy, with different hash marks or mil dots.

Does anyone have experience with this reticle, and what suggestions can you give. Thanks

Re: NF NP-2DD reticle

thats the one i use for rabbit / fox etc
so far its the best ive found for long distance vermin.
i dont use the second dot , just laser the target and dial it in,
works for me
close range turn the power down and just bracket it between the 2 horizontals, dont even bother to find the dot

Re: NF NP-2DD reticle

Thanks, thats kind of what I was looking for. I know the approx size of my targets (ex. ground hogs, coyotes). I figure that if I know the distance to target, and my dope, I should be able to determine holdovers.
