I'm not a follower of the NFL any longer but just wondering if the BLACKS live in a different country then the rest of us Americans??
Will you stand, sit or turn your back on the shit show.
I'm glad I stopped watching this game years ago and stopped spending my money on products advancing the other nation within ours, I guess

Fuck those over paid drama queens.

They can take their contracts and sit on them. Hope the NFL, and all others honeslty, go broke due to all this damn pandering.

I know the middle east is nice this time of year. Maybe these ass clowns could move there and see how they are treated

Give them enough rope and they will hang themselves. The chop proved that to be true. Libs left alone will implode on themselves from lack of caring for themselves. They are just infants in bigger bodies. I wont say they are grown up in any way.

I’ve never been an NFL fan, but have always watched only the AFC and NFC Championships as well as the Super Bowl (might as well only watch the best 4 teams duke it out).

Anyways, I have a feeling I won’t even watch that anymore. The population needs to be reminded of the power they hold....not only with their vote, but also with their remote control. If the vast majority of freedom loving learned how to break the cycle we could make the changes we want to see. The NFL is a business and if you choke them (and I mean really hurt them) of cash and Viewership, they will change or they will cease to exist. They are whores for money. Shut off their revenue and I promise you they will change. The fact that anyone gets paid $30 million+ a year to play a game is completely ridiculous. I’m not denying they have a talent, nor am I denying they work hard to be at the top of their game, but “game” is the key word everyone needs to remember.

Nothing would make me happier than for the American people to stand up and say “enough is enough. This has been blown out of proportion and you need us far worse than we need you.”

The good news is that thanks to the "pandemic" business, celebrities and sport stars are not nearly as visible, popular or "powerful" as they once were, a lot of folks are like "oh are you still around?" about them..... They are already on the ropes, so now's a great time to put the hurt on.

What’s this NFL he speak of? Was this a game back in 20th century Earth?

The NFL and NBA Teams and their Advertisers will never see a penny of my money or time. Over the last ten years they've done nothing to deserve it and in the last three years they've burned every F'n fragile bridge that remained in my book.

Send everyone of those gold-digging asses to ChyNah and see how their stance works out for them.

LoL
Yeah there once was a time they played out of love and pride for the game. Now it is driven by money.

I just can’t wait for sports to return. I don’t care about agenda they are pushing, I just want to see athletes perform at the highest level.
This is almost laughable... Todays "pro's" are driven by money and cannot "perform" if they get a hangnail.

None of those tugs are worth more than 2-3 mil. if that. They whine and cry about the most stupid things for being grown men

How do you figure they are worth 2-3 million?

The NFL and NBA are billion dollar industry and yet you feel that they are only entitled to 2-3 million even though they bring in revenue (e.g. sponsorship deals, television dealers, likeliness in media merchandise and marketing, etc). They are the face of the industry, why should they be unable to capitalize and get paid? Those “tugs”, but I believe you meant to say thugs, earned their contract through outstanding play and by being a marque name thus bringing in revenue money. Why should they earn less than market value. The owners are using their likeliness and name to flush themselves with cash while also receiving tax payer money to fund stadiums and receive tax breaks. The market dictates they deserve the money they receive. As Americans, they formed a collective bargaining and union to receive those compensation packages. They exercised their American privileges to earn their contracts.

Yet you think they deserve an arbitrary figure of 2-3 million. Socialist and communist countries love throwing arbitrary figures to how people should be paid. They also love that people don’t participate in unions or collect bargaining. Would you work for less than market value?

By the way this sounds like an ignorant circle jerk. These Athletes are working Americans that pay taxes. It’s disgusting when some hide members calling them thugs. To generalize them is a dangerous mindset which is leading to the turmoil the country faces.

Hey Hellshot, I'm not saying they shouldn't make that money, all I'm saying is THEY aren't worth the money they make.
They go to school but don't learn much other then how to catch football, teacher go to school and can't make 100,000

Yep but you're making a moral argument, not a market argument. It's also one example out of a million of why I'm not a market absolutist, ha.

Oh and as for the "back when the played for pride and love of the game" thing...yeah, sure, and I remember when the billionaire owners weren't just in it for the money too 🙄

I disagree and say THEY are worth their contracts. It’s a trickle effect that these athletes have on the economy at large and the community. People pay to watch them perform - these monies are used to support the local economy. Staff are hired to work at the arenas, shops open around the arena, sport teams are more likely to invest in the community by funding local foundations and nonprofits, some of these athletes are contractually obligated to perform community services and meet with community members and children. They push for healthy lifestyle, which helps to contribute the fight against childhood obesity. You may not agree that they are worth from your limited perspective but the affects on the community and economy is quite significant.

When the athletes don’t perform then the ticket sales go down. Revenue around the local economy decreases. People are no longer coming and supporting the locality.

No more sports left for me.
The shit heads have been allowed to ruin all of them.

Not even going to turn on baseball to be pissed off when they start to ruin it as well.

I will turn the news off before any sports are reported .

They are a national disgrace.

I could really give rats a** if there was another game played as none are worth my time to put up with the BS they're utting out.
I'll watch and go to NHL anytime but then I prefer a gentler sport than most

I wonder if professional sports can survive alienating thier fan base to this level ?

I sincerely hope not.

When muti million dollar players and owners are out on thier ass it will be thier own fault.

Well deserved.

Unfortunately like almost all things in life today, sports have been weaponized and at the same a distraction to whats really going on. Case in point, what happens when your team wins the superb owl award or the world series or the Stanley cup.........nothing.......nothing happens. They start over a few months later and artificially hype it up all over again. Monumental waste of money. That said, at one time I was neck deep in the message. Thanks to people like Kapernick, he helped me realize these folks that I was spending my money on in tickets, jerseys, etc in reality hated me and everything I stood for. Of course not all the players in sports today but it sure seems like it. I won't say never, but I don't see myself in the future putting money into anything pro sports related.

I stopped watching football since they took a knee I did watch part of the season last year since the protest were almost gone. After watching this video I can't in good conscience ever watch it again, the letter from retired Marine Col. Jeffery Powers is so clear and so true and if you can't understand that then you don't deserve the protection provided by our Service Members.

Guess it's been a couple of seasons now I haven't watched a game.

Not protesting in my house.
My grandchildren may never see a football game.

Each professional player in these sports can have their own opinion on today's societal issues. The NFL has no business in the political arena. I could care less what the players do with their own time, but they are on the clock when they step on to the field/court/rink/whatever. But their bosses have decided that they, along with the players will weigh in on their politics. Some players won't participate in this while most have jumped on the bandwagon, thinking they will show the world.

But it seems as if, by early accounts, the fans don't want this. They want their sports and that's it. Kansas City fans boo'd the players when they got political. Today will give a better indication. But many teams have decided NOT to have fans in the stands. Ticket holders don't like this and now the political outcry by the teams. This is not going to be taken lightly by the fans. Mark my word, the NFL will lose billions this year.

As far as the state of professional sports, I think we are seeing a drastic shift in fanship(my terminology) . Baseball isn't bringing in the fans either. We will see how this NFL season goes, but for me, I am not watching any sports. They can choke on their solidarity.

stopped watching all sports myself, even Hockey! But yeah, BNA and I'm done with the NFL.

I agree with a lot of the points made here, except I’m watching football. As employees, owners should simply say no protesting, no soap box grand standing while on my clock, in team facilities or in the stadium. As an employee, you are/can be held accountable for your actions even away from “the job”. The owners are just wealthy pushovers when someone mentions the 1st amendment. They’re simply covering their ass and limiting liabilities.

I watched the Saints Bucs game today. Zero anthem shown. Not National nor Black National. Zero cameras on anyone kneeling. All we saw was Joe Buck and Aikman and a kickoff. Just like everything else, the media (and social media) is sensationalizing all of it.

I used to watch only football and hockey. I no longer have any desire to watch the NFL.

I still watch the NHL but it isn't a heck of a lot better.

Acceptable racism at is finest in plain view. The fact that it is being labelled as a national anthem sickens me. I'd say more but I would get axed

Fully disgusting....

But if a tree falls in the woods with no one around, does it still make a noise???

So I just listened to a report on talk radio that the year on year Sunday Night opening game viewership had a 23% decline with no other football games to pull the public away in that time slot. Anecdotally my libtard relative who worships the NFL finally said to hell with them and now DVR's more college games on Sat to fill his Sunday slot. I think the NFL may have finally stolen defeat from the jaws of victory.....sniff sniff.

We are all just pawns in their game for power. It really is a game of thrones to them. I really wish someone could explain, in small words, why people get canceled for saying all lives matter?!?

This is true; today, sports betting is very popular and relevant because many people are interested in this gambling game. It turns into real money, which is why sports betting is attractive. Last year a friend of mine told me about Best NFL Computer Picks. It was here that he was able to improve his financial position on football and baseball players. I also tried and realized that this is a working scheme; now I can provide for my family and buy the car of my dreams. That is why I recommend betting on football - it is the way to success.

Find another forum. I guarantee this one will not bear fruit.

And when "we" do have a true hero of sorts, standing his ground and not poisoning himself, he's taken into some countries, held, then told to go back home against there own words; then another country (USA) says no US Open for you. Yes, I'm talking about Novak Djokovic - a man with actual freaking ethics and standing by his belief at great cost to his legacy of tournaments won (but he figures his life is worth more, and I applaud that).

update: I guess they changed their mind on Djokovic at US Open; but until 4 days ago it wasn't a done deal.
