Negative. They take care of their customers. Not sure what bad things people have to say unless it was long wait

I am not sure where you could have possibly heard that. Those guys and gals over there are some of the best in my experience.
Here is just one story:
I bought a 5-year old nightforce scope used from a fellow hide member. Perfect condition, except it had a funny windage set screw. Felt like it was partially stripped. I called NF, the guys says "take a picture of it, weve used different ones over the years."
A few weeks later I get around to sending them a pic. Sent it at 11 pm. Within 15 minutes I got a reply saying tbey knew what I needed, and it would ship out the next morning. I got it 3 days later.
Here is just one story:

Nightforce scopes break? Even shot they partially work. The very few minor things I've read about owners here that needed to get addressed nightforce showed themselves as true professionals.

Never had any issue with NF CS, emailed them on two occasions with my phone number, they called me back the same of next day. Each issue was minor, but they were responsive and supportive.
in the years i've been here and sold nightforce, I've had to send a total of 5 back. we sell thousands of Nightforce scopes. to my knowledge they have only charged for a repair when a guy took a some pliers to the zero stop. As for Nightforce over seas, I sent a member here a 2.5-10x32 for his last deployment, he didn't report any issues. everyone makes mistakes and puts out a lemon, people aren't perfect so the products they make can't be perfect all the time. I can say that in my experience with them, I have been very satisfied, both as an end user and a dealer.

I agree 100% that NF is a company who truly cares about the quality of the product they put out and the customers they have no matter how big or small. NF is about as good of a company as you will find.
This. If on the rare occasion you do they are great though. Other than just asking questions about reticle swaps and stuff I have only ever had to send in scopes twice and neither was the scopes fault. The first time was because my dumbass was messing with the rheostat with too large of a screwdriver a broke it. NF fixed it free of charge even though I admitted to breaking it. The second time was when a pain in the ass buyer wanted a "clean bill of health" on one I was selling. I sent it to NF and they inspected it free of charge and didn't even charge return shipping.
The best customer service you can get is a solid product that you don't have to wonder when/if it will break.
Either you're kidding or talking out of your ass. NF makes by far the most reliable, rugged, and best tracking scopes I have ever used.

He won't. Look at his past posts, he bombs NF threads with shit talking and has yet to back it up when asked. He prefers IOR or a USO ST-10 for 1k work, the rest of us with additional mag are pissing in the wind. Haters gonna hate...
Fucking comical, calls possibly the most rugged line of scopes crap yet swings from the nuts of two companies that do produce crap from my experience with them and several others.
Even though I've never owned, used or every looked through a Nightforce scope, I would not hesitate to buy one if the need arose. That's from reading thousands of threads over the years. Too many good stories of great CS to be wrong!
Unfortunately I happen to agree with this. I am however thinking hard about the BEAST...
I'll add my two cents, because it's a little different story. I have an NXS that I have been suspicious of having a tracking problem, but have never been able to prove it. It's a long story and I won't go into it here, but it's a weird issue and I've pretty-well satisfied myself that the problem lies somewhere else besides the scope.
But that's a tangent to the point, so here it is: When I first noticed the problem, I called NF and they said, "We highly doubt it's a problem with our scope, but we'd like to take a look, so we'll send you a RMA today and you can send it in and we'll check it out." I sent it in on my dime, they checked it out and sent it back to me on theirs (and they found no problem with the scope). A few months later and I'm still having the same problem and call them back, tell them everything I've tried, send them pictures of targets, etc., and they said, "No problem, send it back again and we'll check it out." So they sent another RMA, I sent it to them again, they checked it out and called me to say that they'd really put it through the ringer, but still could find no fault. He even said he wished they COULD find a problem so they could fix it for me, but they just couldn't. So they sent it back again, and the only cost was for me to ship it to them (no charge for service or return shipping).
I'm still having the same problem, but they have bent over backwards, in my opinion, to try and help resolve it. In the end, I think it's just not their problem to solve.

You should have someone else try the scope out on a known good shooting rifle.

My brother had an issue with his NSX and they were on it right away. NF has always been great to me. Every company has at least one asshole that works for them.... Maybe you just got ahold of that "assshole".
I believe it was Ken I contacted after my first NF purchase... I needed an allen wrench for the turret and within 3 days I had one... I didn't even ask for one, all I asked what size it took.
Side note...
I want a BEAST too but will hold off for the upgrade with the extended turret I can fist for when gross motor skills just are not enough...

I will throw in my great experience with a great product. I had my competition gun stolen a while back. It was recovered at the bottom of a local river in about 5 feet of water after being tossed off a 30+ foot bridge. The river bottom is pretty rocky that high up. The scope took some damage, scraps and dents. As one could imagine I was skeptical if it was still working correctly. As you can see the rifle did not fair as well.
I took it off the damaged gun and put it on my new one that I had built. It worked perfectly and held Zero fine. I called the CS department and explained what had happened. They sent me a RMA number and said they would check it out. They called back and said it was perfectly fine and meets specs. They were sending it back at no charge.
I would be hard pressed to switch from NF going forward.

We dropped a 16lb Win mag out of the truck last deer season and it caught a big rock rite at the edge of the sun shade. It hit hard enough that it stripped out one side of the trim ring and ruined the threads on the sun shade and trim ring. I talked to Sunny at NF and he had it back to us in a week I think total charges were 50$. Ive owned over 15 NSX models without the slightest hiccup. Even when its your fault they are quick and very responsive. I have had several other optics with problems both of my own fault and their own that were flat out a pain in the ass. Try getting anything repaired from Swaro for example is just a joke with a long wait. Vortex are the only ones that match NF CS in my experience.
I have 8 of their scopes presently, had couple others and only one problem so far, which wasn't my doing and is an issue they warn of. I'm a cheap bastard and like fine equipment, so buy most guns and glass second hand. Bought a rifle/scope combo while back--everything shot great, both as described, but when I swapped the scope over to another rifle and went to reset the zero stop, found 2 of the 4 screws stripped.
Still shoots great, but I need to get it sent back to be fixed. So, guess I'll find out what their CS is like first hand here soon. Hope it's great as I sure love their products.

You just did to USO and IOR what you blamed Dead Nutz of doing to Nightforce.
To add to the thread, I have several Nightforce scopes and never had an issue with any of them. I have called Nightforce before asking about changing a reticle in my 1-4 from FC-2 to the new 3G and, although it was expensive, they were more than happy to work on it.

.....yeah they're awesome scopes. Go to the for sale section and you will find more of them than any other SCOPE? It's almost as if everyone that owns one is trying to get rid of them. Go to the precision shooters blog on what the pros use, you'll find two that use them. WOW.
No, I didn't. I speak from experience. Every USO I had except one shot the bed, one went back numerous times. The IOR SH edition went back so many times I lost count.
I'm sure the amount of them for sale has nothing to do with how many there are... Or the number that were produced before mil/mil was cool and people are swapping those around.
As for "what the pros use", they don't choose other scopes because of quality, they chose them for features. If you're not running FFP you're doing something wrong and until recently NF only had one FFP scope. Most competitions want higher magnification than the F1 offers. If has nothing to do with the quality of the scope and I stick by my comment that you are talking out of your ass.
Just because you had USO's "shit' the bed doesn't mean that everyone of USO scopes suck. It is your opinion and you are entitled to it, and if it means you won't buy a USO, then that's OK too, as that is the way of the market. I have several of USO's and have had one go back for tracking but their customer service was very user friendly. My favorite optics are Nightforce's as I just like the ruggedness of them. My F1 just works.

There were 10 nightforce scopes for sale on page one. What is that....20percent. They can't be that great, everyone's trying to get rid of them.

Nightforce has lots of fans, but if what you see on the for sale section of this site is indicative of what's going on with all customers of nightforce, then to many people are trying to get rid of them. There has to be a reason for this.
You obviously didn't get the clue. The for sale section says nothing about the reliability of an optic. People sell and swap optics for a number of reasons and while failure is one of them it makes up for a very small percent. But you go right ahead and determine the quality of an optic based upon what is sold here, it just shows how ignorant you are.
BTW, it would be wise of you to replace all of your scopes with tasco's, you almost never see them for sale. By your logic they must be the best.

Everyone, don't bother reading reviews about scopes. That's a waste of time. Just go to the PX. Observe which brand of scope is being sold the most, and stay away from that brand, it's obviously crap. The brand not being sold in the PX, that's the best.

My experience with NF customer service is that I don't have any. There is a reason for that. They put out a quality product, that works.
The for sale section will always have an ebb and flow of all the big name scopes. If you were to watch longer you'd notice the same thing regarding S&B, USO, Premier ect.
I'll stick by my comment even never having owned one myself. I have however briefly used one. I also wouldn't be against owning one if they produce a model that appeals to me.
But since you're so knowledgeable on this subject oh wise newbie, please tell us what company you'd suggest and why you believe (insert personal experience please) Nightforce is not only a company that produces such a poor product but has such bad customer service?
Man there is some serious aids in this thread .... I can safely say if my ATACR goes up for sale its to get a Beast ... Also if people have a financial difficulty and need money quick NF is a pretty liquid asset. Half the reason why I went with NF if for some unseen reason I were to need cash quick I am sure I can move some scopes quickly. If we are going to bash a company lets at least have some more facts than some guy at barf.com said or I see them for sale... There is a market for them that's why they are for sale.
Dead Nutz is obvious an USO fanboi and his bias shows in his posts (see quotes below). What he fails to acknowledge is the fact that while NF may have the occasional warranty repair, so does USO and I would venture a guess its a bit more than NF.

I will state that I am an optics freak. By that I mean that I own more high end spotting scopes, binoculars and high end optic sights than I can count. USO, S&B, Swarovski, Hensoldt, Ziess, Leitz etc.
I have owned many NF scopes. Say 15-25 or so. Only a couple get high use. This is due to having so many that I simply cannot use them all, all the time. Also, most NF scopes do not have the features I prefer. One does. The 2.5-10x24. I have two that I have years of EDC on. Tens of thousands of rounds. No issues. Zero. Nil.
I decided to send the second one in for updates, HS turrets, reticule change etc.
Called them Friday. Left a message. While I was reading this thread, they called back. 8pm on a Sunday night. No kidding. It was Bill that called. He handled my other upgrade in great form as well. Great scopes, great company. Nuff said!

I still kick myself for not getting the 2.5-10x24 a few years back when I had the chance, and I'm really hoping that special run happens again as I might have two find their way to me, especially if they come with the MIL-R version.
