Rifle Scopes Nightforce NP-R1 reticle thicker than NP-R2?

Re: Nightforce NP-R1 reticle thicker than NP-R2?

Yes. The 2 MOA windage lines of the R1 are more usable and precise for holds than the 5 MOA of the R2. Also for holds the 1 MOA vertical will be easier to break down.

Re: Nightforce NP-R1 reticle thicker than NP-R2?

I also have both. I cannot tell which one I like better, as I think they are both fantastic reticles; my favorite of all. If you get distracted easily, then go with the R2. Take a peek thru the R1 before you do that just to confirm, because you may realize that the R1 is not very busy at all.

Re: Nightforce NP-R1 reticle thicker than NP-R2?

i can't stand cluttered reticles and find the np-r1 to be perfect. i don't find it cluttered at all.

it looks like both the np-r1 and np-r2 reticles are .06 moa thick.

KS,

Thanks for your spelling help, see I fixed it, feel better now?

And yes, I busted balls, but I also provided the correct information. What did you provide that was useful to this conversation or relevant?

Just saying......

Bob

Bob,
No, don't feel better either way. To answer your question I posted above without coming off as an arrogant prick. Whether it is "useful" or "relevant" is up to the OP.

Now....I feel better. Thanks for asking.

Keith

"I definitely prefer the NP-R1 over the NP-R2. I've had both."

I used to think the exact same as you however go with the R1...
its not busy at all... the R2 doen't have enough wind or elevation values to make it as useful... still good just go with the R1 I am pleased with my R1 and its in no way "too busy"
go R1

Exactly!!! I have both reticles, and the R1 is much more user friendly for wind and lead holds.
