I am in the market to upgrade my scope from a PST Gen1, this scope bounces back and forth from my hunting rig to PRS rifle. Was considering the Razor G2 or the NX8 the only complaint I have seen pop up more than a couple times is the parallax adjustments on the NX8. Can anyone provide some insight on this? Considering the 4-32 power model with Mil-XT reticle. The weight savings and the rigidity was the primary factors leaning me from the Rzr G2 to the NF. Thanks in advance

ive used both a lot...still have both

the NF isnt as forgiving to get behind as the gen2...but the gen2 is about the easiest and forgiving to get behind of any scope out there

the parallax may be a little pickier, but ive never gone out side by side and specifically looked for it...i just put tape on my knob and marked it for 100, 400 and 800 yds...when im shooting stages on time, i just spin it to whatever is closest

but it weighs 20oz less and doesnt feel awkward on a lighter weight hunting rifle

neither one should affect your match scores

What reticles do you have on both the optics? I was briefly considering the Mil-C to keep the clutter down in hunting situations. But havent decided 100% that I wouldnt regret not having it in match situations. My thoughts were that if I needed to hold 3 mils of wind in a hunting situation I would be best off getting closer to the target

its a mix...ive "had" all of the versions pretty much in some form

ive had gen 2s w/ the ebr1c, ebr2c, and the ebr7c

currently, 1 match gun wears a gen 2 w/ ebr2c, and the other 2 match guns wear mil-xt's...my hunting rifle wore a mil-c, furthest 2 animals last year were 545 and 724...i dont really miss the tree for hunting, because if im taking a shot long enough to need a tree for wind, im already going to be dialing elevation, and taking 1 deliberate shot so i can just hold wind on the main horizontal...its not likely to be a quick snap shot 5 mil hold over type thing

i like having the trees for matches (and some mid range elr stuff)...i could probably do without, but some places i shoot require more than i can dial in elevation and being able to hold in the tree helps quite a bit...if i was switching from matches to hunting, id probably just get the tree and deal with it
