Rifle Scopes Nightforce SHV 4-14x56 Hunting Scope VS Vortex 4-16x44 Viper HS-T Which is better?

I'm looking into getting a good long distance scope for a cheaper price. These are the two scopes that I have found myself drawn to but I don't know anything about them. So if you guys could give me some feed back on these and what you think of them that would really help me out! Vortex 4-16x44 Viper HS-T VS Nightforce SHV 4-14x56 Hunting Scope????

I have a HS-T and it's been a good scope, tracks well and numbers add up even past 1000 but to compare it to a SHV would be unfair.

I have been really considering the SHV lately for a hunting scope to take me into the twilight hours with that 56mm obj, but I'm looking at it for a 17HMR Anschutz critter-gitter that may see time later on larger hunting rifle(s). Them being on sale right now through MHSA and other sources really puts an added draw to them. In the end I think I'll get one, but I sure wish there was a basic mil/mil option.
