Rifle Scopes Nikon Monarch UCC

Re: Nikon Monarch UCC

They have good optics but the 1/8 MOA adjustments are bit fine and with only about 36MOA of total adjustment they can be limiting.

With a 10MOA or 20MOA base(if you can achieve a 100 yard zero with it, get a 20), it will serve you fairly well. This is dependent on many things and you won't know if a 20 will work until you try it.
Even a 10MOA base will not guarantee you a 100 yard zero but the odds are good it will and this should leave you with about 28MOA of "up" available.

I used to run one on my 308 but have since moved it to my 17HMR.

I have one and I love it. It is a phenomenal scope for the money, beating S&G, Nightforce, Zeiss, Swarovski and all others on light transmission.

I used mine on an AR-15 to get all the way to 1000 yard. I used a 20MOA base for that. The only issue I found was that it was not enough magnification for me and the duplex reticle was to fat for the F-class targets. So, I replaced it with a higher mag scope. I then moved this scope to a match .308 and did very well at 600 with it. Just not enough mag for 1000. It should work well for you.
