Non Typical Hunting Rifles General Specs/Rules ?

OK a while ago there was a thread on the "Non Typical Hunting Rifle" an awsome rifle a real cross over.

I want to build a hunting rifle around a scope the "NXS 3.5-15x50"

I suppose cal does not matter so much for general specs but personally I am thinking .300 win mag or .338 win mag at this stage, easy to get brass (you wouldnt get pissed when you lose some chasing feral pigs, like if you had a rare chambering) etc. good power etc. for game I will hunt with this gun.

I like dthe concept am wanting to know what you folks think the principles should be for a "Non Typical Hunting Rifle" just as there are principles for scout rifles etc.

I want to have one built eventually. Awesome hunting rifle. I am sure they shoot lights out. I would probably lean toward a lighter weight hunting type scope, even though the NF's are great. I would want light weight to be the theme.

The scope is set in stone as I have it, I am pretty happy with NXS's. I had it for a rifle I just sold.
