Interstate Arms is selling a Norinco 870 copy. I saw one yesterday and am having a really hard time not buying it. 5+1, 18.5" bbl, ghost ring sights, thick matte black finish, feels solid as hell. I gotta know, anybody have the scoop on these? My local gunshop guy told me that they are made with softer steel and wear out faster than Rems or Mossy. Only $200.

They are decent guns for the money. They are a little rougher than the Remington and the finish is thinner than the 870. Most parts are interchangable but may require a little fitting. I've picked up 5 used 870s for under $200 a piece in great shape. If you can find a used 870 in good shape I would tend to go with that over the Norinco but if you have to have ghost rings and/or a new gun the Norinco is fine.

i had one and it was a good gun i paid 229 for mine and it ran fine, i put a side saddle on it. and didnt have many problems, it for a while had a problem not ejecting some cheap skeet shells which is all i ran in it for 3 gun, i took a dremel and ran it along the inside of the eject port and it ran flawless. i would recommend it and i would buy it again

If your local gunshop doesn't carry them it could explain their opinion...

</div></div> That's a given. This particular gunshop has been almost the only game in town for many years, and is loathed, I mean downright hated, by 90% of the shooting population in this area. One of the reasons is that they are notorious for forcing their opinions down your esophagus until you leave their establishment.
