Re: Nosler 6mm 105 comp bullet
I've run around 500 of them through a 6 Dasher. Would agree the G7 is close to the rest of the 105 to 108 class of 6 mm bullets (.248 - .272). They shot at least as well as the 105 Scenar, and a bit better than the 105 A-Max at distance (past 600 yd.). They are easy to get a good load with and push about the same as a A-Max, only 10 fps with same powder charge. All the 105's were running between 2950 to 3010 fps with 33.0 gr. of 8208. Just got another 1000 of the Nosler 105's if that tells you anything.
From my limited experience of around 1500 rounds with this caliber I would say the following:
105 A-Max is the easiest to get a good load. Very forgiving in jump and they push easy.
105 Berger VLD is the most accurate in my rifle, but it took some work to get there.
105 Nosler CC are almost as accurate as the Bergers for less money. We're talking within my shooting error.
105 Scenar worked ok, maybe I gave up on them to quick, but they never performed as well as the others I've tried.
107 SMK didn't give me anything worth pursuing.
108 Bergers were 2nd. best after the 105 Bergers, still need to work on these some more. Very little difference between the 105 Berger, 105 Nosler and the 108 Berger, they all work really well.
Just got some 115 DETAC's, will be working these up soon.
All above were using IMR 8208 with Lapua brass and wolf sr mag. primers.
