hello all,

i bought 450 rnds of german dag off my buddy who sold his m1a and didnt want it anymore, it is the brass cased with the silver bullet. just been curious why the bullet is silver, and is it just fmj, theres no penetrator in there is there, wondering cuz i though of shooting a couple three gun matches with it in lue of my m4 and just not wanting to be that asshole punching holes in the steel.

any cleaning precautions, i.e. letting it sit in barrel after shooting and not cleaning immediately

The jacket is copper alloyed with nikel, which results in the silver color. There is no penetrator. It is clean, accurate ammo. Probably te best 7.62 suplus available at this time.

Plus the brass is excellent, very good for reload...

I don't think it's great for loading in the US because it's berdan primed.

Hmm i bought several (~300 ) once fired DAGs and were boxers...but they weren't surplus munitions...
