Noveske Aftermarket AR-10 Handle to Long?

So I got this today and installed it on my DPMS GII RECON .308 and the bolt latch does not latch into the side of the receiver as shown in the pictures below. The Charging handle still works the bolt with no issue it just no latch on the detent on the receiver is this normal? And to clarify this is the Noveske AR-10 version of the charging handle.

The dpms g2 isn't an ar10. Its smaller. I'm not sure who makes a charging handle for the mid size dpms g2.

I was under the impression that any AR that is not .556 is an AR-10? So what would be an AR-10?

Almost any other large frame ar has "ar10" parts. There is no mil spec ar10 so most also have proprietary parts. The dpms g2 is in between an ar15 and ar10.

Large frame ARs can get confusing AF. You have AR10 or Armalite patterned parts then you have LR308 or DPMS patterned parts. Then DPMS came out with the inbetweener GII. Gives me a headache.
